&lt;p&gt;The &amp;#8220;No Poo&amp;#8221; experiment is basically not shampooing your hair. My goal is to not shampoo for 2 weeks and then for a whole month! Crazy and gross right??!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What convinced me to try out this experiment was that apparently when you shampoo and it creates those lovely soapy suds, it&amp;#8217;s actually stripping away your natural oils. This leads to a dry scalp and possibly even dandruff (I know I got a bad case of flakes). Then in a day or two of not washing your hair, it becomes excessively oily and itchy. This also leads us to washing our hair &lt;strong&gt;everyday&lt;/strong&gt;! A huge reason on why I&amp;#8217;m doing this is that it&amp;#8217;s so &lt;strong&gt;CHEAP! &lt;/strong&gt;Never again buying $20+ worth of shampoo and conditioner that will only last me about a month or so!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Ingredients/tools involved in this experiment are:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-Baking Soda&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-Apple Cider Vinegar&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-Tea Tree oil (optional, if you have dandruff then this may help)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-Spray bottle (1 or 2 bottles)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-Water&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;-Boar Bristle Brush (optional, it helps to spread the oils out on your head but at times it creates so many fly aways on my hair!)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So far, this is my recipe:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For your roots and scalp area&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- 1 or 2 tablespoons (tbsp) of Baking Soda mixed with warm water. 2 drops of tea tree oil. Shake it up!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As a conditioner, only apply to the ends of your hair&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- 1 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with water. Shake it up! &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Note&lt;/em&gt;: Your hair will &lt;strong&gt;NOT &lt;/strong&gt;smell like vinegar! I bet my life on this! When you spray it on your hair, you will smell the vinegar, but once you thoroughly wash your hair, there will be no smell! Trust me on this!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have only done this for a week now. I started on March 19. Here&amp;#8217;s a picture of my hair on the first day.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I &amp;#8216;air dried&amp;#8217; my hair and I didn&amp;#8217;t put any types of hair product on it. My hair felt soft and clean but then again, this was just only the first day and my hair is always like this after it dries. lol &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The next 2 days I just wet my hair, but I did apply the apple cider vinegar because of my ombre hair. On the 3rd day, my hair was super oily, greasy, nasty, smelly and flaky. Just look at the before picture, but 10x worse! I couldn&amp;#8217;t take it any more so I used the baking soda to wash my hair. Now my hair is feeling a lot better ^__^&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have read that it takes about 2 weeks (possibly longer, depends on your hair) for your head to adjust to what&amp;#8217;s going on. I am only going to use the baking soda on days when my hair is completely disgusting. Since this is only my first week, looks like I can go 2 days without washing my hair. I hope to aim for longer! Maybe 4 days! &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am really liking this experiment. I believe it&amp;#8217;s going to work for me! I will keep updating on my progress! I&amp;#8217;ll try to do a weekly thing =D&lt;/p&gt;
